Decorated Green Beret arrested for shooting dead three at a bowling alley was suffering PTSD from serving in special forces in Afghanistan, lawyer says

The US Army Special Forces sergeant suspected in the Illinois bowling alley shooting that left three dead may suffer from PTSD, his lawyer said.

Sgt. 1st Class Duke Webb, 37, of Shalimar, Florida, faces three counts of murder and three counts of first-degree attempted murder for injuring three other people in the shooting at Don Carter Lanes, in Rockford, shortly before 7pm Saturday.

During the Green Beret's initial hearing in an Winnebago County courtroom Monday, Webb's attorney, Elizabeth Bucko, said that he may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Bucko also said that Webb appeared to have issues with memory loss and added that he will undergo mental health evaluations, the Rockford Register Star reported.

Webb was said to suffer from confusion, anxiety and suicidal thoughts, WTVO reported. According to Army service information, Webb had four deployments to Afghanistan, the most recent one ending in July.
The judge denied bond for Webb, meaning he will remain jailed. His arraignment was set for February 16.

Webb joined the Army in 2008 and was on leave Saturday, when the apparently random shooting took place.

According to the Army, Webb's first deployment to Afghanistan was from August to December 2009, the records show.

His other deployments were from October 2013 to April 2014, from October 2014 to April 2015, and from January to July of this year.

Webb was twice was awarded the Bronze Star. Among the other awards he has compiled was the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Combat Action Badge, according to the service information. Source

MUSLIMS LIKE TO BLOW THING UP

Ex-CIA Director Explains the love Muslim Terrorists have for blowing things up.....

16 DECEMBER 2020

BRENNAN: So, you want me to give the enemies the reasons why they’re not as successful as they would have been?

[laughter]

I think sometimes it’s because they continue to go back to the tried-and-true methods. When I look at terrorist acts, especially those that are international, transnational terrorism directed against the United States —al-Qaida and other types of terrorist organizations continue to go after that which is going to go boom and bang, trying to secret an improvised explosive device onto an airplane, trying to bring down that air carrier over the United States, as opposed to looking at new and ingenious and innovative ways to really cause havoc. But they continue to want to have things blow up.

The defenses that have been put in place really have guarded against and made it much more difficult for the terrorists to surmount the various obstacles and security checks that are in place. But they continue to focus on that. And I’m glad they do in some respects because that’s where we’re best prepared to defeat their efforts.

I still shudder when I think about the availability of weapons in the United States — different types of assault weapons and how much carnage could be created and has been in instances. But rarely has it been as a result of an international terrorist group, transnational terrorist group.

You don’t hear about an al-Qaida member who picks up an assault weapon and just mows people down at a mall. Occasionally, attempts are made, or sometimes it actually happens, but they still go after that IED that is going to blow up something and create the type of footage that they want.  Source

MOTIVE A MYSTERY

Authorities told CNN the explosion was likely a suicide bombing. Authorities said in the news conference that a label of domestic terrorism has to be tied to a political or social ideology. “We haven’t tied to that yet,” they said, as a definite motive remains a mystery so far. Source

SUICIDE BOMBER = MUSLIM CONVERT

ISIS Calls for Christmas Jihad: ‘Coldly Kill Them With Hate And Rage’

Another Christmas is upon us, and it’s the same old story: in Muslim lands, Christians are oppressed and in constant danger of violent jihad attacks. And in the lands once known as Christendom, jihadis threaten new jihad massacres.

And so it was no surprise when International Christian Concern reported Wednesday that “security forces in Pakistan reportedly stopped a major terror attack planned to take place on Christmas Day in Peshawar. In a raid on a house in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district, four terrorists, including the leader of a banned militant outfit, were arrested.” Among those arrested was Zakir Afridi, the commander of the jihad terror group Lashkar-e-Islam.

“Along with the terrorists,” International Christian Concern reported, “security forces seized three suicide jackets and six improvised explosive devices.”

If this plot wasn’t inspired by a call from the Islamic State to murder Christians on Christmas Day, it certainly had the same goal in mind. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported that “on December 12, 2020, online supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) distributed an audio clip of a new nasheed (Islamic religious chant) titled ‘Coldly Kill Them With Hate And Rage.’” The jolly folks who “released the song on Telegram included a poster featuring a Christmas tree with a bomb attached to it, and the caption: ‘Just Terror 2020. Here are their holidays at your doorsteps, and we are here too! And we are about to enter them with you!’ The post also includes the hashtag #MerryChristmas, suggesting it be used on social media to disseminate the song.”  Source

Chinese Military Cyber Attack On Nashville ATT UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SOURCE (UPS) BATTERY ROOM Causing HYDROGEN EXPLOSION

If ATT wrote the book on UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SOURCE (UPS) BATTERY ROOM then how did the Nashville ATT UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SOURCE (UPS) BATTERY ROOM Blow Up?

Cyber Attack by the Chinese

Chinese Military Cyber Warfare Units:

People's Liberation Army (PLA) Unit 61398 (also known as APT 1, Comment Crew, Comment Panda, GIF89a, and Byzantine Candor)

How China's cyber command is being built to supersede its U.S. military counterpart

As U.S. leaders contemplate a proper definition for “cyberwar,” their counterparts in China have been building a unit capable of fighting such a large-scale conflict.

China’s rival to U.S. Cyber Command, the ambiguously named Strategic Support Force (SSF), is quietly growing at a time when the country’s sizable military is striving to excel in the digital domain.

Though the American government is widely considered to be one of the premier hacking powers — alongside Israel, Germany, Russia and the United Kingdom — China is rapidly catching up by following a drastically different model.

The SSF uniquely conducts several different missions simultaneously that in the U.S. would be happening at the National Security Agency, Army, Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, State Department and Cyber Command, among others.

If you combined all of those government entities and added companies like Intel, Boeing and Google to the mix, then you would come close to how the SSF is built to operate.

Examining the development of the SSF in relation to Cyber Command provides a view of how two of the world’s most influential countries see the future of conflict. The U.S. agency is a similarly nascent organization but with a more narrow focus and three definitive missions: to protect Defense Department networks, to launch computer network attacks in support of combatant commanders and to “ensure US/Allied freedom of action in cyberspace.” Cyber Command has yet to be elevated to a unified combatant command and as a result, remains tied at the hip to the NSA.

After two years in development, China’s SSF is now positioned to surpass its U.S. counterpart in capabilities — a position that seemed unattainable a decade ago.  Source

And this is when things get ugly.

Better to blame AQW than the Chinese....

Could a UPS actually be vulnerable to a cyber attack or other network based exploit?

The unfortunate answer is; absolutely. In this current era of interconnectivity, where every critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure component is communications enabled, a UPS is simply another networked device. If a hacker gets into your network, the SNMP communication card in your UPS can potentially be used as a beachhead to launch attacks on other networked devices and even allow the hacker to gain control over critical electrical systems. The Chinese would have to attack the Battery Room ventilation by shutting it down thus causing the Hydrogen Explosion

Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) Battery Room

Avoiding Hydrogen Explosions with Battery Room Ventilation

Hydrogen when mixed with oxygen, is a highly explosive substance that is odourless, colourless and lighter than air. Where effective ventilation is not in place, a build-up can occur. In extreme circumstances there have been cases of battery room explosions as a result of ineffective battery room ventilation.

Everyone knows the function of a battery; to store electricity in the form of chemical energy and to convert to electrical energy when required. Vented lead acid batteries or flooded batteries, as they are also commonly known, consist of plates that are flooded in an acid electrolyte. When charging, the electrolyte emits hydrogen through the vents in the battery. Under normal operations, the release of hydrogen is relatively small, but this is elevated during heavy recharge periods.

Hydrogen when mixed with oxygen, is a highly explosive substance that is odourless, colourless and lighter than air. The lightweight element accumulates above the oxygen, and where effective ventilation is not in place, a build-up can occur. In extreme circumstances there have been cases of battery room explosions as a result of ineffective battery room ventilation. A small smoulder can create a huge explosion when hydrogen is in the presence of oxygen, and besides this, hydrogen is hazardous to health, causing skin burns and eye issues.

Dismissing a critical safety issue is clearly not responsible, system integrators in commercial, industrial and dockyard applications need to identify the risks and design a system to protect in a fail-safe way. This also includes protecting personal with protective workwear.

The likelihood of an explosion occurring depends on the number of batteries, the charge rate, the size of the room and the ventilation available. Legislation advises the number of air changes per hour, for example IS:1332 Battery Rooms advises 12 air changes per hour, or suggest that hydrogen concentration levels are kept below 1% to avoid the risk of explosion.

The National Fire Protection Association lists the explosive concentration level, or Lower Explosive Level (LEL) of hydrogen as 4%, so the legislation stipulating a maximum level below 1% encourages the safe implementation of ventilation systems to avoid explosions far below the stipulated 4% explosive level.

If the level of hydrogen in a battery room exceeds 1% after one hour of charging, mechanical ventilation using exhaust fans is recommended. This should also be a compulsory requirement even if the concentration is not expected to reach 1%, due to uncertainties in building geographies, high points or inadequate and blocked openings for natural ventilation.

Ventilation should ideally be placed at both high points (for the exhaust of hydrogen that accumulates above the oxygen), and low points within the battery room to encourage forced ventilation out of the room. There should be no air recirculation under any circumstances as this encourages the mix of the two gases, and where possible, on a separate ventilation system than the rest of the building. Corrosion resistant fans with ATEX non sparking components, ideally roof mounted to exhaust upward and out, are the ideal solution. If this is not possible, ATEX wall mounted axial fans with back draught dampers, to avoid the return of hazardous substances, can be used.

ATT Building On Right

Battery Room Explosion:

A hydrogen explosion occurred in an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) battery room. The explosion blew a 400 ft2 hole in the roof, collapsed numerous walls and ceilings throughout the building, and significantly damaged a large portion of the 50,000 ft2 building. Fortunately, the computer/data center was vacant at the time and there were no injuries. The facility was formerly a large computer/data center with a battery room and emergency generators. The company vacated the building and moved out the computer equipment; however the battery back-up system was left behind. The ventilation for the battery room appeared to be tied into a hydrogen monitoring system. The hydrogen sensor was in alarm upon emergency responders arriving at the scene (post-explosion). 911 callers reporting the explosion also reported hearing an alarm for 3 days prior to the explosion. This appears to have been a local alarm, as it was not relayed at any time to the local fire department. Given how slowly batteries generate H2 (1.3x10-7m/s per amp-cell), it appears as though batteries were charging for a long period of time with no ventilation. Apparently the detector was alarming, and hydrogen continued to build up until it found an ignition source. Due to the damage and actions of emergency responders shutting off all circuit breakers, etc., it could not be verified whether the ventilation system failed, or was previously turned off when the building was vacated. Onsite personnel assumed that the ignition occurred at or near a grounding strap on the battery racks, but in a room full of batteries and electrical equipment, ignition sources are plentiful.

Lessons Learned

The lesson to pass on is that ventilation is critical in UPS battery rooms. Great care should be taken to ensure that the ventilation system is operational and brings in enough outdoor air to properly ventilate the enclosure. Electrical safety interlocks should also be considered, which would isolate the batteries from their power supply, not allowing the batteries to charge if the ventilation system isn't working properly. It is imperative that the battery room designers pay close attention to the design of ventilation systems and electrical safety interlocks. There are lots of good (and bad) ways to design and install battery rooms and critical ventilation systems. If designers do not have experience designing UPS battery rooms, experienced consultants should be contacted to ensure a safe and effective design. In addition, internal management procedures need to be developed which analyze operation of such systems. As in this case, the entire data center was removed and the UPS system was no longer needed. The UPS system should have been decommissioned when the data center was removed. A good management-of-change procedure would have uncovered this problem before it became an incident. More information on management of change can be found in the Lessons Learned Corner and also in the Hydrogen Safety Best Practices Manual.

Nashville Explosion Caused By ATT Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) Battery Room Explosion - Several Over Heated Lithium-Ion Batteries (Li-ion Battery)

What caused the Nashville explosion?
1. Gas
2. Lithium-ion batteries - Battery Room Explosion

A lithium-ion battery or Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery. Lithium-ion batteries are commonly used for portable electronics and electric vehicles and are growing in popularity for military and aerospace applications. Source

Here's what happens when Lithium-ion battery over heats....

Lithium ion batteries are practically ubiquitous; they power everything from laptops and cell phones to cameras and tablets. But before they can start providing the juice for bigger and more demanding applications, research about their failure needs to happen. That's where the fine folks at University College London come in -- they've used 3D-and-thermal imaging to track exactly what happens when the power cells overheat, inside and out. As you can see in the GIF above, the results aren't pretty. After cranking the heat on a pair of the batteries to 250+ degrees Celsius (482 degrees Fahrenheit) and keeping an eye on them with the aforementioned techniques, researchers witnessed one of the batteries blow its top. Prior to that happening, during what's known as "thermal runaway," the core collapsed.

What's that mean?

Well, according to the paper published in Nature, the change in temperature that lead to a destabilizing further change in temperature elevates the risk for internal short circuiting and damaging any nearby components. That only happened in a battery without internal support, though. The cell that wasn't lacking such a feature was a bit different. After hitting about 1,000 degrees Celsius (1,832 degrees Fahrenheit) the copper internals melted, the heat spread outward and caused thermal runaway. It sounds quite a bit less violent, actually.

This isn't the sort of thing that would happen under normal operating conditions at all, and UCL's Dr. Paul Shearing readily admits that. However! He says that this sort of testing provides invaluable knowledge regarding how the lithium-ion cells fail and will hopefully help how safety aspects are designed and considered in the future. I'd imagine that Boeing is paying pretty close attention to these experiments. Call it a hunch. Source

'An oddball who had a paranoia about 5G': 'Nashville bomber's' neighbors say they saw him tinkering with the antenna on his roof and putting up 'No Trepassing' signs

Neighbors have described how the 'Nashville bomber' was an 'oddball' as the FBI probes whether he had a paranoia about 5G technology. Neighbors had reported seeing the RV used in the Christmas morning explosion parked outside of Anthony Quinn Warner's Antioch home. Tony Rodriguez, who lives within the duplex that agents raided on Saturday, told the Washington Post that he never spoke to his neighbor, 63, and did not know his name. He alleged that Warner kept 'No Trespassing' signs around the home, especially around the RV, and was often seen tinkering with antenna above the house. Rodriguez also claimed that investigators had taken a computer motherboard from Warner's house during the search. Another neighbor Steven Stone, 61, confirmed that he had seen a similar RV parked outside of Warner's place. 'When I looked out my window and saw all the law enforcement that's when it hit me that I'd see the camper up there,' he told USA Today. According to News4, a Nashville real estate agent contacted FBI agents after fearing the subcontractor who worked for him was who they were searching for in connection to the blast outside the AT&T transmission center. Realtor Steve Fridrich said a man who went by Tony Warner had done IT work for him as a subcontractor. Fridrich said he was asked by agents whether Warner had paranoia about 5G technology. Fridrich said they had never spoken about that. A source close to the federal investigation told News4 that agents were probing whether Warner had paranoia that 5G technology was being used to spy on Americans. Source

Divine Providence Sends Warning To Bishop Of Nashville Joseph Mark Spalding For Cancelling Christmas Mass: Explosion Destroys Several Bulidings In Nashville Christmas Morning....

“The priests, ministers of my Son, the priests, by their wicked lives, by their irreverence and their impiety in the celebration of the holy mysteries, by their love of money, their love of honors and pleasures, and the priests have become cesspools of impurity. Yes, the priests are asking vengeance, and vengeance is hanging over their heads. Woe to the priests and to those dedicated to God who by their unfaithfulness and their wicked lives are crucifying my Son again! The sins of those dedicated to God cry out towards Heaven and call for vengeance, and now vengeance is at their door, for there is no one left to beg mercy and forgiveness for the people. There are no more generous souls; there is no one left worthy of offering a stainless sacrifice to the Eternal for the sake of the world.  Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by MΓ©lanie 1879)

Source

Muslims set off the explosion.....

Moment Nashville bomb detonates as cops rush to evacuate people on Christmas morning after discovering suspicious RV while responding to a 'shots fired' call - as FBI take over probe

Nashville police have confirmed the huge explosion that shattered windows and shook the ground before dawn on Friday morning was a bomb and they are now using sniffer dogs to comb the area to look for any more devices. The explosion happened at 6.40am local time and came from a parked vehicle on Second Avenue, outside the AT&T building, between Church Street and Commerce Street - an area where there are bars, restaurants, retailers and apartments. Forty minutes earlier, police received a call of shots fired. They got to the scene but saw no evidence of a shooting. Instead, they came across an RV. They inspected it, realized there was a bomb inside and called the bomb squad then started evacuating people from nearby buildings. At 6.40am, while explosives teams were on their way, the bomb detonated. There were multiple cops on the scene, including one who was knocked to the ground and has, at least temporarily, lost his hearing. Three people were taken to the hospital in total - it's unclear if they are cops or civilians. No suspect has been identified and police have shut off downtown Nashville while they continue to search the area. The explosive was so intense that it's impossible to tell whether anyone was inside the vehicle. Source

Biden's Sacrilegious Communion: Spends More Time Decorating The Chirstmas Tree Than He Does Preparing Himself To Receive Holy Communion......

Sept. 14, 2011
Vice President Joseph Biden
Receiving Holy Communion From Msgr. Rossi
National Shrine
Repost from 26 June 2020:

Well not dead by Election day...maybe by Inauguration day?

Wednesday, January 20 Inauguration of Joe Biden 2021

Sacrilege  Real sacrilege is the irreverent treatment of sacred things as distinguished from places and persons. This can happen first of all by the administration or reception of the sacraments (or in the case of the Holy Eucharist by celebration) in the state of mortal sin, as also by advertently doing any of those things invalidly. Indeed deliberate and notable irreverence towards the Holy Eucharist is reputed the worst of all sacrileges. Likewise conscious maltreatment of sacred pictures or relics or perversion of Holy Scripture or sacred vessels to unhallowed uses, and finally, the usurpation or diverting of property (whether movable or immovable) intended for the maintenance of the clergy or serving for the ornamentation of the church to other uses, constitute real sacrileges. Sometimes the guilt of sacrilege may be incurred by omitting what is required for the proper administration of the sacraments or celebration of the sacrifice, as for example, if one were to say Mass without the sacred vestments.

And after the morsel, Satan entered into him. And Jesus said to him: That which thou dost, do quickly. St. John (13:27)

Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep. (1 Cor. 11:27)

“They who make a sacrilegious Communion, receive satan and Jesus Christ into their hearts—Satan, that they may let him rule, and Jesus Christ, that they may offer Him in sacrifice as a Victim to Satan.”  St. Cyril

“As of all the sacred mysteries … none can compare with the … Eucharist, so likewise for no crime is there heavier punishment to be feared from God than for the unholy or irreligious use by the faithful of that which … contains the very Author and Source of holiness.” (De Euch., v.i) The Catechism of the Council of Trent

“For this reason we must remind those intending to receive Holy Communion of the commandment found in St. Paul’s Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 11:28): ‘But let a man prove himself and so let him eat of that Bread, and drink of the Chalice.’ The traditional and immemorial custom of the Church has always been unmistakably clear on this question: let a person wishing to receive Holy Communion truly examine his conscience and if he be in the state of mortal sin, let him not receive Holy Communion (no matter how contrite he may consider himself to be) without first availing himself of sacramental confession.”  Council of Trent
Sacrilege you say......

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

GRÜNEWALD, Matthias
Nativity (detail)
c. 1515

And it came to pass, that when they were there, her days were accomplished, that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds watching, and keeping the night watches over their flock. And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the brightness of God shone round about them; and they feared with a great fear. And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, that shall be to all the people:For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God, and saying: Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will. And it came to pass, after the angels departed from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another: Let us go over to Bethlehem, and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath shewed to us. And they came with haste; and they found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. And seeing, they understood of the word that had been spoken to them concerning this child. And all that heard, wondered; and at those things that were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God, for all the things they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. Lk.

From all of us at dxv515, we wish you a Merry, blessed, and grace-filled Christmas and God’s abundant blessings in the new year!

Biden Furious! Twitter Will Not Transfer Trump's Followers To Him

Biden team slams Twitter over plan to wipe followers from White House accounts

(CNN)President-elect Joe Biden's transition team has criticized Twitter's decision to not allow the millions of followers of the White House Twitter accounts to be automatically retained when the accounts are handed over to the new administration.

"Twitter's reluctance to transfer millions of followers from the Trump Administration to the Biden Administration unnecessarily politicizes what otherwise should be a routine transfer of communication from one administration to the next," Biden-Harris transition spokesperson Cameron French told CNN in a statement on Wednesday.

When President Donald Trump took office in 2017, his administration inherited the millions of followers of each account handed over from the Obama administration. It was the first Twitter transfer of power in US history, and at the time, the @POTUS accounts and @WhiteHouse each had more than 13 million followers.

Nearly four years later, the @POTUS and @WhiteHouse accounts have 33.2 million and 26 million followers, respectively. Trump, a famously prolific tweeter, will retain control of his personal Twitter account, @realDonaldTrump, which has 88.5 million followers on the platform. Source
