The Russian government’s Il-96−300PU aircraft took off from Vnukovo Airport at 14:16 local time and headed for Valdai, one of Putin’s residences, it said. However, Hajun said it was not known who was on board the plane, although it was an aircraft which has been used by the Russian dictator several times. The plane reportedly disappeared from radars near the Russian city of Tver (about 150 kilometers from Valdai), the independent Russian website Important Stories (IStories) said on Telegram on June 24. An explosion at a steel mill in China's northeast killed four people and left five hospitalized with injuries, the city government said Friday. A blast furnace exploded Thursday morning at the Yingkou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. in Yingkou, east of Beijing in Liaoning province, the city's Emergency Management Bureau said in a statement. The cause was under investigation, but experts believe an equipment malfunction was to blame, the announcement said. Phone calls to the Yingkou government Friday weren't answered. Seven more people were receiving medical treatment, the agency said, with one of them in a “critical condition”. Two others had suffered severe burns, two had minor injuries and two had scratches caused by flying glass, Xinhua said. The explosion at about 8:40pm local time on Wednesday took place at the Fuyang Barbecue Restaurant in a residential area of downtown Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia autonomous region. Footage on state broadcaster CCTV showed more than a dozen firefighters working at the site as smoke poured out of a gaping hole in the restaurant’s facade. Shards of glass and other debris littered the darkened street, which is also home to a number of other eateries and entertainment venues. The ministry of emergency management said local fire and rescue services dispatched more than 100 people and 20 vehicles to the scene in the wake of the blast. Paris explosion: More than 30 injured after blast 

Thirty-seven people have been injured, four of them seriously, after a large explosion in central Paris. The blast took place in a building that housed a design school and the Catholic education system headquarters in Rue Saint-Jacques, in the fifth arrondissement of the French capital. Emergency workers are searching through the wreckage of the building, with at least two thought to be missing. According to witnesses, there was a strong smell of gas before the blast. Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said after arriving at the scene that initial checks of camera footage suggested the explosion occurred within the building, which was next to the Val de Grâce church. However, the authorities have said the cause of the blast has not yet been determined. The building was initially engulfed by fire, but the blaze was later brought under control, said Paris police chief Laurent Nunez.

The area has been cordoned off and Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has been to the scene. He said sniffer dogs had identified where further victims might be found under the rubble. The area where the explosion took place runs south from the Latin Quarter in Paris's Left Bank area that is popular with tourists and known for its student population. A student at Ecole des Mines on Boulevard Saint-Michel told Le Parisien: "I was in front of the Val de Grâce, I heard a huge boom and I saw a ball of fire 20 or 30m high. And the building collapsed with a huge noise. I smelled gas, but took several minutes to come to my senses." Another witness, Antoine Brouchot, told the BBC he was at home when he heard a "big explosion". "I stuck my head out of the window and looked towards Cochin [hospital], then I saw a big cloud of smoke and as I got closer, there was a building that had collapsed and for the moment, there is a fire."
