Enos was one of the first to publicly call upon the HOLY NAME of GOD - the Church Fathers say that this devotion was a public devotion - so many souls participated with Enos in calling upon the HOLY NAME of God.

Law of Nature had two major works dedicated to God:

2. Calling upon the Holy Name

Today we still have the Visible and Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

But we do not have a public reparation to the Holy Name of Jesus.

Divers battle to reach tourist boat submerged 20ft in raging Danube while hopes fade for 21 missing passengers after river crash that killed seven South Koreans - as captain of second vessel is arrested 

Divers are battling to reach the wreckage of a tourist boat that capsized on the Danube killing at least seven South Koreans and leaving 21 more passengers missing.  Visibility in the raging river, where the water is moving at 10mph, has been described as 'practically zero' with officials saying it is 'impossible to get close' to the Mermaid on the riverbed 20ft below the surface.  Such is the strength of the current, there are fears some of the missing victims could already have drifted as far as Serbia, more than a hundred miles to the south, and hopes are fading that anyone else will be found alive.   The 89ft sightseeing vessel, which was carrying 35 including more than 30 South Korean tourists, was struck from behind by the 440ft Viking Sigyn 'floating hotel' outside the city's parliament building during a fierce rainstorm and flipped over in just seven seconds.  Just seven were pulled alive from the freezing water while seven people have been confirmed dead.   The captain of the Viking Sigyn, identified only as Yuriy C, 64, has been arrested by police, who suspect him of 'endangering water transport leading to a deadly mass accident'.  This morning, a South Korean team joined rescue attempts as Hungarian Prime Minister asked for a thorough investigation into what is one of the country's worst ever boating accidents. Sixteen other girls between the ages of 6 and 12 and a woman were wounded in the attack by a middle-aged man who died later of a self-inflicted wound, broadcaster NHK said, citing police. Police said an 11-year-old girl and a man, 39, were killed, but declined to give further details. The 39-year-old, a foreign ministry official, was believed to be the father of one of the girls, NHK said. The girls were students at Caritas Gakuen, a Catholic school in Kawasaki city, south of Tokyo, and were waiting to board their school bus when the suspect attacked, school officials said at a news conference. France Lyon: 'Parcel bomb' injures pedestrians A suspected parcel bomb has exploded in the centre of the eastern French city of Lyon, injuring 13 people. Those hurt in the explosion on Victor-Hugo Street, including a girl aged eight, appear to have suffered superficial injuries. Police are hunting a cyclist who was seen leaving the parcel outside a bakery on a street corner, reports say. Anti-terrorist prosecutors have taken over the investigation in the country's third-biggest city. French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said he had ordered security to be boosted in public places and at major events. The device, which was reportedly full of screws, nuts and bolts, exploded around 17:30 (15:30 GMT) on the street in the historic city centre, between the Saone and Rhone rivers. Reports say a man aged between 30 and 35 arrived on a bicycle and left the bag. He is said to have been wearing a face mask and dark glasses. Source

Footage shows hundreds of migrants occupying French airport terminal

Video showed hundreds of illegal immigrants storming a French airport and occupying an entire terminal Sunday, demanding to meet with the country’s prime minister.  Footage posted on Twitter shows roughly 500 migrants chanting in Terminal 2 of the Charles de Gaulle airport as about a dozen police officers in tactical gear look on.  “France does not belong to the French! Everyone has a right to be here!” one person can be heard yelling into a loudspeaker.  The protest was organized by the migrant support group La Chapelle Debout, which said their members call themselves “Black Vests.”  The group comes amid the country’s months-long “Yellow Vests movement” over tax reforms. French citizens are required to carry yellow vests in their vehicles for emergencies.  In an official statement, the group asked to meet with Prime Minister Edouard Philippe over the country’s asylum policy as well as the leaders of Air France. They demanded that the airline “stop any financial, material, logistical or political participation in deportations.”  Later Sunday, an Air France delegation met with the group, a member told local newspaper Le Parisien.  A migrant who took part in the protest warned it wouldn’t be the last.  Source

CHICAGO (AP) — The Latest on the slaying of a pregnant Chicago woman whose baby was cut from her womb (all times local):  6:15 p.m.  Chicago Police say the woman who was strangled before her unborn son was cut from her womb had bought baby clothes from her alleged killer before the day she died.  At a Thursday news conference announcing first-degree murder charges against 46-year-old Clarisa Figueroa and her 24-year-old daughter, Desiree Figueroa, police said that 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Lopez was returning to the Figueroa house after the mother posted an offer of free baby clothes on a Facebook chat room.  They say that the daughter has confessed to helping her mother kill Ochoa-Lopez and that the mother's boyfriend, 40-year-old Piotr Bobak, is charged with concealment of a homicide  Police say the investigation is continuing but that Clarisa Figueroa's adult son died of natural causes two years ago and they believe the woman was hoping to raise the newborn as her own.  The woman called police April 23 hours after Ochoa-Lopez was killed to report the baby had stopped breathing. The child that Figueroa said was hers was rushed to an area hospital where he remains in grave condition and is not expected to survive. Source

Terrorists Storm 5-Star Hotel In Pakistan's Gwadar, Gunshots Heard

At least one person has been killed after three gunmen stormed a five-star hotel in the southwestern Pakistani city of Gwadar, the centrepiece of a multi-billion dollar Chinese infrastructure project, the military said Saturday.

The gunmen shot dead a security guard at the entrance to the hotel.

"Security forces have cordoned area. Guests safely evacuated. Terrorists encircled by security forces in staircase leading to top floor. Clearance Operation in progress," a military spokesman said.

Earlier, the provincial home minister Ziaullah Langu told AFP four gunmen had "opened fire" on the hotel.

"There are reports of a few people sustaining minor injuries," the minister said.

Mohammad Aslam, the on-duty officer in Gwadar, said ambulances and rescue officers were waiting at a road leading to the hotel, and that he could hear gunfire but that the operation was coming to an end.

"There were no Chinese or Pakistani guests in the hotel," he said, adding that only staff were present in the building.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Pearl Continental is the only luxury hotel in Gwadar, formerly a small fishing village, and is where foreign and Pakistani business delegations as well as diplomats stay when visiting the city.

It sits isolated on a ridge overlooking the Gwadar port, which is the flagship project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The massive infrastructure project seeks to connect the western Chinese province of Xinjiang with Gwadar, on the Arabian Sea.

It includes a 392-kilometre (244-mile) highway from Peshawar to Karachi scheduled to be completed this year, a new highway, airport and hospital at Gwadar port, among many other projects in the country.

The port will provide China with safer and more direct access to the oil-rich Middle East than the waterway trade route it currently uses through the narrow Malacca Straits.

But it has also drawn its share of attacks, particularly from separatists who have long complained that residents do not receive a fair share of profits from the province's resources. Source

Jose Evis Quintana, the father of alleged 16-year-old killer Alec McKinney was once jailed for 15 months for domestic violence against Alec's mother and 'menacing with a weapon'. McKinney has been charged alongside his friend Devon Erickson of killing one student and injuring eight others at the school close Denver, Colorado. Records show Quintana, 33, who was also deported twice, had a string of arrests in the Colorado dating back from 2008 to 2017. Court papers show that despite Quintana terrorizing Alec's mother Morgan Lynn McKinney, 32, he managed to convince her to marry him in 2009, a year before he was first deported. Quintana, 33, who admitted to having a history of drink and drug problems, was sent back to his native Mexico on December 9, 2010. Alec, 16, had posted a message on social media about missing his father, just 11 days before the Tuesday May 7 shooting which saw McKinney and friend Devon Erickson, 18, allegedly kill one student and injure eight others. The Counterpart family faced an attack on our cherished team members in Kabul, Afghanistan yesterday. We mourn the loss of the security guards from the Afghan police special forces who protected us. We will never forget their sacrifices. They will be forever etched in our memories and forever part of the Counterpart family.

We also witnessed the horrific violence inflicted on our team members during Ramadan, the most holy time in the Muslim calendar. We know this attack had nothing to do with Islam. It is instead borne of hatred and ignorance and darkness. Counterpart has always stood for inclusion and learning and light. We categorically reject this senseless violence.

We will not be cowed by cowardice. Our Counterpart team stands stronger today than ever before, bolstered by the unwavering support of our team members and our wider community who offered every assist. We can never repay that debt. Taliban suicide attack targets Kabul offices of US aid group

The Taliban have killed at least five people in a suicide attack on the offices of a US aid group in the heart of the Afghan capital, claiming it targeted Counterpart International because it promoted women “mixing” with men.

Coming as US negotiators try to reach a peace deal with the Taliban, the attack in Kabul is likely to fuel the concerns of critics who say the militant group cannot be trusted to protect women’s rights and other freedoms, whatever they may pledge at the negotiating table.

It began with a suicide blast at the entrance to Counterpart International’s Afghanistan headquarters in the centre of Kabul, near the offices of the attorney general.

Five gunmen then raced inside the compound and battled special forces soldiers for more than six hours. About 200 people were evacuated from two buildings as the fighting raged.

Four of the dead were civilians and one was a policeman; 24 others were injured. Counterpart, which is based in the US and has operated in Afghanistan since 2005, said it was incredibly saddened by the attack and was “working as quickly as possible to account for our staff. Their safety and security is our primary concern.” Source

A faction of the Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the bombing of the Sufi shrine of Data Darbar in Lahore, Pakistan, which killed at least nine people and wounded a further 24. Abdul Aziz Yousafzai, spokesman for the Hizbul Ahrar militant group, claimed that the attack had been timed to minimize civilian casualties and only targeted Pakistani authorities. Images from the scene show the blast had destroyed a police van near an entrance to the shrine. Hundreds of worshipers were inside and outside the shrine at the time of the attack.The dead included at least three policemen, a security guard, and a citizen, according to Deputy Inspector General Operation Lahore Ashfaq Ahmed Khan. Khan confirmed that elite commandos tasked with guarding the shrine were the intended targets of the bomb, though the exact nature of the explosion is not yet known.Rescue teams have responded to the explosion and the injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. The shrine was targeted in a 2010 suicide attack that killed over 40 people and has since been guarded by heavy security. The explosion took place on the second day of Ramadan. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, and no suspects have been named. Forensic teams are onsite gathering evidence. Source

UPDATE: Police release name Maya Elizabeth McKinney

One of the two students who opened fire on a school in Denver has been identified as 18-year-old Devon Erickson. An 18-year-old boy was killed and eight other students were injured when gunfire erupted at STEM School Highlands Ranch on Tuesday afternoon at 1.53pm local time. Police confirmed that the shooting was carried out by two people, one adult male and one juvenile. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office confirmed Erickson is the adult shooter. Officials are expected to release more information at a press conference at 6am Wednesday morning. Source

The sheriff described suspect two as a “young person… a small young person.” Thus, he said, at first authorities thought the suspect was a male. Court records list the suspect as Maya McKinney, but McKinney’s social media pages are under the name Alec McKinney. “We originally thought the juvenile was a male by appearance. I did the press release very early on before the detectives were able to get medical… were able to speak to her,” said Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock. The Denver Channel wrote that multiple sources say “the second suspect, who is a minor, is a transgender male who was in the midst of transitioning from female to male.” The motive, the station alleges, “went beyond bullying and involved revenge and anger towards others at the school,” adding that one suspect “was involved in legal and illegal drug use and had been in therapy.” The sheriff said it was “too new” to determine the motive, though, according to Denver7. On Twitter, McKinney wrote about his mother hating the “new Alec” and about missing his dad. Source

Shots fired at STEM school in Highlands Ranch; 2 believed injured

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Shots have been fired at a STEM School in Douglas County. Two people are believed to be injured, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office is calling this an “unstable situation” at the school at Ridgeline and Plaza in Highlands Ranch. People are asked to avoid the area. The STEM School is on lockdown and all other Highlands Ranch Schools are on lockout, according to the sheriff’s office. Parents can pick up children at Northridge Elementary at 555 Southpark Road, the Sheriff said. South Metro Fire Rescue confirmed that they have numerous units on the scene to help and encourage drivers to leave streets open for emergency vehicles. Cherry Creek Schools are also on “secure perimeter” due to the situation at the school in Douglas County. Source

STEM School Shooting in Colorado:

“Two individuals walked inside the STEM school. Got deep inside the school” and engaged students in “two separate locations. There were a number of students who were shot and injured,” the sheriff said. He said authorities have all of the suspects involved in custody.

The school “almost immediately” notified the dispatch center. “About two minutes later, the first deputies arrived and engaged the suspects.” Spurlock said he would not release the suspects’ names but said authorities didn’t have the suspects “on any radar that we know of.” He believes one suspect was an adult and one was a juvenile, but authorities are verifying their names. He confirmed that eight students were in hospitals, and several were in critical condition. One student had not yet been unified with family members, so victims’ names were also not being released.

The active shooter reports emanated from the STEM School Highlands Ranch at 8773 S. Ridgeline Blvd. Initially, rescue teams were going through the school.A parent told Denver7 that his son told him a shooter walked into a classroom with a gun. He said a shooter removed a gun from a guitar case (authorities have not confirmed that detail.) He said his son, a 17-year-old junior in high school, was shot three times but will survive. Source

Multiple victims in shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch, authorities say

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Authorities believe at least two people were injured in a shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.  A ranking law enforcement source told Denver7 that at least one victim was shot and that one suspect was down. Authorities were looking for two other suspects, the source said.  The sheriff's office tweeted that the incident was an "unstable situation" at the STEM school, which is located off South Ridgeline Road and Plaza Drive. The STEM school, which is kindergarten through 12th grade, was on lockdown Tuesday afternoon and all other Douglas County schools were on lockout, the school district said.  More information wasn't immediately available.    Source

A survivor of the Moscow air disaster has sparked fury after he walked from the airport with a backpack he had rescued from the burning plane, prompting claims he had blocked other passengers from escaping. However another flight attendant, Maxim Moissev, died in the flames as he tried desperately to open a door at the rear of the plane. UNC Charlotte shooting suspect Trystan Terrell had no interest in guns, grandfather says "This is not in his DNA," the suspect's grandfather said Tuesday.

The man charged with opening fire at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, killing two and wounding four, was intrigued by foreign languages, not weapons, his grandfather said Tuesday.

Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, was charged with two counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder after firing into a UNC Charlotte classroom on the last day of classes.

Terrell's grandfather Paul Rold told The Associated Press that his grandson was attending UNC Charlotte and had taught himself French and Portuguese with the help of a language learning program Rold had bought for him.

Rold, who lives in Texas and was unaware of the shooting until the AP contacted him, said his grandson never showed any interest in guns or weapons of any kind.

"You're describing someone foreign to me," Rold said Tuesday night. "This is not in his DNA." Source
