Denver police have arrested a private security guard working for a television crew on suspicion of murder after he shot and killed a man believed to be part of a 'Patriot Muster' rally outside the Denver Art Museum.
The Patriot Muster protester maced the security guard, who then pulled out his handgun and shot him dead, the Denver Post reported - with their photographer capturing the astonishing scene in a series of images.
The Denver Police Department (DPD) confirmed that the security guard, who has not been named, was working for local TV station 9News. Officials said the shooter had no affiliation with the Patriot Muster's rival BLM-Antifa protesters.'A 9NEWS employee and a 9NEWS contractor were taken into custody,' the station reported, adding that the contractor was deemed to be not involved in the shooting.
'The private security guard was contracted through Pinkerton by 9NEWS. It has been the practice of 9NEWS for a number of months to hire private security to accompany staff at protests.' Source
